I spent 3 weeks in 2018 in Sri Lanka volunteering through a Travelteer programme. The first week consisted of exploring the country during activities such as visiting temples, going on a safari, visiting Sigiriya rock, climbing Ella.

The following 2 weeks I spent on the Textile & Design Programme which works in partnership with local Sri Lankan charities and acts as a training and education centre for local women. Conducting market research, going to the local markets to source the materials, design new products then help teach the local women. While out there I created products such as earrings and hair scrunchies that would be sold to the local volunteers along with design a playsuit. I also contributed towards running their instagram by putting on photoshoots and uploading the content.

This experience really helped me grow within myself as it was the first time traveling by myself. It was definitely a 3 weeks to remember.
