BUYING & MERCHANDISING
Teaming up with George ASDA the brief was to create a collection. Starting with completing a competitive shop and primary research to reveal what George could improve on.
Choosing holiday wear for S/S19 with a capsule collection, I chose to add my previous trend from trends forecasting; Acta-vility for inspiration and guidance. I created a sustainable collection, taking fabrics, colours and key shapes into consideration. The collection was created visually using Adobe Illustrator. Critical paths were used to make sure the collection would arrive in time for store.
I presented this collection to my lecturers and got selected out of 130 students to present at George ASDA head office to their senior directors. I impressed the George team so much so that, I won a 2 week placement in their buying and merchandising team!
